MULTI-SENSORY ROOMS
METHOD (snoezelen) Dutch term for this therapy (Stimulation and relaxation) relaxation This method is a therapy aimed at providing pleasurable sensory experiences by stimulating the primary senses in an atmosphere of confidence and relaxation. It is a concept intimately linked to the environment and to the experiences of adequate stimulation. It is a proven fact that sensory stimulation brings well-being to a wide range of different people and disabilities. The advantages and the positive effects of this therapy are very important in particular in the consideration of the patient as an active subject who participates and is directly involved in the treatment processes. It is not surprising that this service has become a fundamental tool for therapists and assistants in the world of disability.
